Anterrial “Terri” Harris is a rising leader in equitable community development and regional planning. As a graduate student at the University of Memphis pursuing a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning, Terri brings fresh perspective, lived experience, and a deep commitment to transforming neighborhoods into thriving, inclusive spaces for all. After living inNashville and experiencing its unfathomable growth, she started to realize that her desire to become a doctor started to fade and a desire for development started to take its place.

Currently interning with the Memphis & Shelby County Community Redevelopment Agency, Terri is gaining hands-on experience in revitalization projects, land use policy, and community engagement strategies that center resident voices and long-term sustainability. Her academic focus, combined with real-world experience, positions her as a powerful emerging voice in urban planning. With a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Tennessee State University (after being awarded a full band scholarship where she marched trombone in the Aristocrat of Bands) and a strong background in customer service, Terri approaches every project with precision, empathy, and a people-first mindset. Her work experience — from logistics roles at Amazon to frontline support at Alorica — reflects a work ethic rooted in resilience, adaptability, and service.
